Research Tissue Programs

The MTF Non-Transplantable Tissue Program

Through our Non-Transplantable Tissue Program, tissue which does not meet suitability criteria for transplant is made available to the academic research community. Categories for rejection include microbial contamination of tissue, additional findings at autopsy or positive or conflicting serological test results. All such research projects are reviewed by the Foundation senior staff and Medical Director for scientific appropriateness and feasibility of design prior to inception. These tissues are provided at no cost to academic institutions (shipping charges may apply).
