Professional Development MTF is committed to providing excellence in education through professional development programs. Continuing medical education opportunities exist for surgeons, nurses and healthcare professionals. Allograft vs. Xenograft: Practical Considerations in Biologic Scaffolds Click here for the latest CME program from UCSD. Bone Symposiums: The purpose of these CME programs is to review current authoritative and evaluative education material that enhances knowledge and facilitates the provision of improved patient care. The courses provide a synopsis of the most recent advancements to those involved in the transplantation of musculoskeletal allograft tissue. Surgeon Education: Hands-on skills lab opportunities exist in conjunction with various professional organizations, such as the AAOS at the orthopaedic Learning Center , where surgeons gain procedural experience with musculoskeletal transplantation using MTF allograft tissue. Nursing Education: Contact hours for continuing nursing education activities have been applied for through the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, Inc., an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Speaker Program: This opportunity is made available through educational grants to an institution, organization or society with a speaker request for presentations on bone healing, clinical application of allograft tissue, bone grafting alternatives, safety and efficacy of tissue transplantation or some other allograft related topic.
